IBM i Administration for Windows Administrators

Tanfolyam célja

This course is an IBM i administration class designed for a Windows administrator. The basic administration steps required to set up, maintain and back up an IBM i system are covered. Emphasis is on using the Web interface whenever possible with references to the associated commands.

Hands on labs for the various administration functions are included following each of the topics being covered. The student will get the opportunity to work with the interfaces for the IBM i.

Course objectives:

  • Describe the IBM i concepts and terminology
  • Describe the IBM i product capabilities
  • Describe the IBM i product interfaces, both graphical and command language for setting up, maintaining and backing up an IBM i system
  • Apply the skills learned to administer an IBM i server
